With any properly installed gutter system, there is also a carefully designed downspout system, complete with extensions needed to completely take all water from the roof system away from the home.

Depending on the grade of your property, downspouts may only need to be installed in the correct orientation or direction to get the water away from the structure. However, many times there should be an extension, made from the same 4” X 3” aluminum downspout material installed to get the water far enough away to prevent it from running into the house.

In some cases, we’ll need to dig a trench long enough to install a pvc extension so the water can be diverted as far as needed. These extensions will be covered so they’re underground and out of the way.
